@lailabritz: Step 1: Blow-dry I start by blow-drying my hair with the @Dyson USA . I work section by section, starting at the root and pulling the hair upward, while keeping tension on the ends with my other hand. I continue directing the airflow upward until I’m happy with the volume at the root. I blow dry the rest of my hair, keeping the tension and rolling the ends six or seven times until it is dry and curled. I turn off the heat and roll my hair all the way to the scalp until it’s cool. Step 2: Set the lower half For the lower half of my head, I use heat rollers to help maintain the volume and create that swooped-out finish. Because my hair is naturally very straight and flat, I work with really thin sections so the hair holds the shape better. I roll each section vertically toward my scalp, making sure the roller stays lifted as I roll it in. This helps maintain the volume at the roots while the hair sets. Step 3: The top half For the top half of my head, I use finger rolls instead of heat rollers. Since I have layers and the hair on top is shorter, finger rolls make it easier for those shorter pieces to hold the curl and maintain their volume. I roll the sections upward from the root to create extra lift and volume.
