@mbx_ordz: idea by"@Callsign : ๐๐ธ๐๐ฐ๐ด๐ป๐๐ Algeria was the first export customer for the Soviet MiG-25 โFoxbat,โ receiving its initial batch in the late 1970s (around 1978โ1979). The Algerian Air Force operated both interceptor (mainly MiG-25P/PDS) and reconnaissance (MiG-25R/RB) variants, eventually building a fleet that peaked near 40 aircraft. These high-speed, high-altitude jets served as a potent deterrentโmost notably enforcing a no-fly zone during the 1988 PLO congress in Algeria and conducting reconnaissance overflightsโand remained in frontline service longer than almost any other operator. The last squadron was officially retired in 2022, though a few airframes flew again briefly during the 2024 celebrations marking the 70th anniversary of the Algerian Revolution.
