@pt_tayloromalley: I remember when I first got diagnosed another doctor actually told me to not be so gullable and fall for a scam. He told me not to waste my money on treatment tools because it wasn’t a real thing and to “be careful” His justification for that was that lipedema didn’t have Medicare codes and it’s not covered by health insurance in Aus so it must not actually be a thing… I remember how confused and stupid I felt at that time. I knew deep down something wasn’t right with my body though. This is why I’m so vocal, present and involved in spreading awareness. #lipedema #lipedemafighter #netflixdocumentary #chronicillnessawareness #trendingreels
