Hear me out. Pooh feels Sora’s departure and is sad, but doesn’t really know why. He doesn’t seem bothered though. He has the feeling everything will be okay in the end. At the same time, Vanitas has somehow made his way into the 100 Acre Wood. But no Heartless or Unversed can come there, so he’s about to leave when Pooh finds him and confuses him for Sora. Vanitas tries to explain he’s not Sora, but Pooh just thinks this time SORA forgot things, and that must be what made him feel odd. So now the 100 Acre Wood game have to cheer “Sora” up. And Vanitas goes along because NOTHING can resist their charm. And by the end, after they’re all friends, Vanitas tells Pooh he’s not Sora. Pooh says he knew that, somehow. When Vanitas asked why they were still nice to him, Pooh says that he’s still his friend. Then everyone cries as the book closes and when the cover picture fades in, it’s Vanitas with the whole gang right where Sora/Christopher Robin would be.
