We have fireweed in the uk but we call it rosebay willow herb. The blooms can be made in to the most amazing pink syrup. It tastes amazing.

We have fireweed in Montana and they go with the seasons the same. I couldn't understand how when your summers are shorter untill I saw this. Ours are much taller so they last longer. Nature is amazing.

I lived near Fairbanks many years ago and it seemed like we went from summer to fall within 2 a 2 wk period and then the snow came. Our 1st year we got there the end of August and we had snow by mid September and didn’t see the ground again until May. It’s truly an adventure living there and a treasured memory.
