Two investment companies filed a federal lawsuit in Delaware, claiming they invested $1.2 million in Wondermind in September 2022 after allegedly being given misleading information about the business. The investors claim they were told Wondermind had the leadership, resources and infrastructure needed to become a profitable mental health and wellness platform. But according to the lawsuit, those promises allegedly never became reality. The investors claim planned partnerships failed to materialize, an expected app was never built and Gomez did not fulfill an alleged obligation to actively help market the company using her celebrity profile. They are now suing for securities Fr*ud and seeking their investment back, along with damages and legal costs. Gomez’s attorney, Mathew S. Rosengart, strongly rejected the allegations. He called any claim that Gomez participated in Fr*ud or wrongdoing “completely meritless” and said her legal team plans to file a motion asking the court to dismiss the claims. The lawsuit also contains allegations about Teefey’s management of Wondermind and claims of tension between Gomez and her mother. Teefey has previously denied separate allegations concerning her personal life. Wondermind had already faced public difficulties, including layoffs and reports of unpaid workers and vendors in 2025.
