Your analysis from the beginning was amazing. However your conclusion towards Renee could have been more sympathetic. Before she needs to be sent on a journey being self aware or what not , that girl’s hurt has to be properly acknowledged. She’s a child who is very deeply hurt and this has affected her . No one is taking responsibility for her hurt. She’s not getting closure from anywhere , from people and parents that have especially hurt her . She’s basically being coerced to suck it up and be a piper adult, which of course she definitely has to do eventually to be able to live properly, but I believe we could be more flexible. She needs to feel acknowledged of her pain first before any major breakthrough.
