Godddd if they didn't ruin Thistleclaw, he would've been the perfect precautionary tale of what happens when you let your anger fester. Before Spottedleaf's Heart, Thistleclaw and Snowfur had my heart and soul because of how utterly doomed they were. I think it also made Bluefur and Snowfur parallels to each other where they and their mates were really just doomed from the start
