I'm a fan of prawn noodles from our local hawker culture, but honestly not that stall. She's well known for scolding paying customers for trivial/unknown reasons such as taking the chopsticks and spoon, standing too close to the store (especially during the post-CoViD period when they demarcate with yellow boxes). I could pay the most expensive option without battering an eyelid but there's no point being put down by her attitude. That smile of hers happened because she was on video. Have a hidden video of them on any typical day and you'll realise why they have such low ratings. I'd rather take my money elsewhere for better quality ones.

Fym $35 for that shi 🤣 I expected a whole mfing buffet. And fym $5 is sold out but you can still serve $10 and above, aren’t they the same thing just smaller portion 🤣 I know money hard to earn especially as a hawker, manual labour always tiring but please. Have some respect for your own food that you serve, if enough to survive can already, must be realistic cannot expect a lavish and luxurious lifestyle when you’re in this line of work. Most important is see happy faces every time come back and greet you and buy from you. That’s fulfilling enough

I ate there from 1998.. for me the quality top notch.. she is grumpy because she is old lah.. how your grandparents talk? Come on.. expensive or not is just like you think pokemon card is worth thousands of dollars or not? If compare it to the taste i dont think it is expensive.. fyi she has gone through alot, getting cheated by her own son, but business did not work for her son.. best pure prawn noodle without and ribs and pork in singapore for me

Overpriced and overrated. You want genuinely delicious and genuinely 5 dollars prawn mee, go to Tekka market.

Wow. Still thriving all these years. 5 years ago wanted to order the cheapest bowl but chicken out. Went across to queue at the famous stall selling $2.50 prawn noodle.

Why bother eating at such a rude stall? I tried it once and have avoided them ever since. There’s another prawn noodle stall in the first row that’s worth trying! They serve affordable prawn noodles, the noodles are really good, and the stall auntie is super friendly even though there’s often a long queue. 😊
