SenRi is the neice of Fr. Eddie Hontiveros SJ , the father of Philippine Liturgical Music who composed the classics such as ‘Pananagutan,’ ‘Ang Puso ko’y Nagpupuri,’ ‘among others. ‘Tanging Yaman’ on the otherhand was composed by Fr. Manoling Francisco SJ, who happens to be a friend of Senri afaik!

Hontiveros has authored/sponsored several bills that are contrary to positions of the Catholic Church: 1.RH Law (RA 10354) – Supports reproductive health and artificial contraception; contrary to Catholic teaching on contraception. Hontiveros was a principal author of an earlier RH bill. 2.Divorce Bills – Hontiveros repeatedly sponsored bills to legalize divorce; contrary to Catholic teaching on the permanence of marriage. Not yet law. 3.SOGIESC Equality Bills – Hontiveros sponsored anti-discrimination/SOGIESC bills; some provisions are viewed as conflicting with Catholic teachings on sexuality and gender. Not yet law. 4.Adolescent Pregnancy/Reproductive Health Bills – Includes expanded reproductive-health education and services; some aspects conflict with Catholic positions on contraception and sexuality education.
