Basically marvel is all movies created by marvel but mcu is only some movies and shows because it’s movies in one timeline (mcu stands for marvel cinematic universe)

hot take: just taking interest in ONE movie already makes you a fan. more than that you become an enthusiast (or a nerd)

MCU is earth-199999, live action version of the earth-616 comics (The Sacred Timeline if anyone is familiar with that term). So if you see earth-616 in the films, it’s just bc to them it’s earth-616, but it’s a seperate reality to the comics so therefore it is a different earth.

MCU and Marvel follow different stories and universes. (For ex: Hela is Loki's daughter in the comics and in MCU they're siblings)

Not all marvel is mcu. Mcu is a specific movie or show but the marvel universe also included stuff like X-men and the earlier spidey trilogies. HOPE THIS HELPS I TRIED MY BEST TO MAKE IT MAKE SENSE
