Pitching a tent and setting up in the dark is frustrating and stressful which can put people off of being outdoors. 2. Checking the overnight temperature, not just the daytime high. ❄️ A beautiful 80°F afternoon can turn into a miserable 40°F night if you’re not prepared. 3. Bringing enough light. 💡 One flashlight isn’t enough. Headlamps, lanterns, and spare batteries make cooking, organizing, and bathroom trips much easier. 4. Planning meals that are actually easy to cook. 🍗 Complicated camp meals sound fun until you’re hungry, tired, and cleaning dishes in the dark. 5. Keeping a “grab-and-go” essentials bin. Toilet paper, bug spray, sunscreen, first aid, lighter, knife, and paper towels should always be together. (Even if you don’t expect to use them) Digging through five totes for a lighter is a camping rite of passage, but it doesn’t have to be.
