It’s a fascinating document for sure. Agree with your analysis too - capitalism by definition cannot remedy the ecological trajectory we’re on and imminent ecological collapse will hopefully accelerate (not that I am hoping for this in an accelerationist way) transition towards communism

I haven’t read it, does it include the best part about how as people are fleeing from the equatorial regions AMOC will be collapsing and sending Europe into an ice age?

Spontex, how do I respond to people saying that communist with a heavy emphasis on democratic policies (Luxemburgism) is impossible to prove will work because it’s never been tried. Many say that communism inevitably falls to authoritarianism, but I don’t know how to respond to that.

I used to worry about this when I was a kid, so I became a cadet company sergeant major & planted anything & everything I could locally. I even have some soil health, composting, etc, info material I stick places now & then. Life is dependant on a mere 6inchs of top soil, its scary how fragile it is...

that's very enlightening, all because that very military apparatus intimately tied to the interest of american hegemony cannot take the L. they could pivot and redistribute their massive research gains tomorrow, stripped out of the hands of the private corporations they paid to develop solutions and turn them out in a public facing repository, really a flip of a switch, but then the capitalist class is perfectly revealed for what they wrought. it's a denial of culpability and accountability, doubling down, that is all.

Spontex I have two questions about communisation. 1. If it’s impossible to create communism in one country then how would we ensure that the revolution is global? Would it be something like creating communes within capitalism in each country first and then revolting when a crisis hits? 2. If a revolution succeeds in only one country then what should that country do? LeftComs condemn the USSR but is state capitalism not the best possible option that they had considering the situation? (Though the state should’ve been more democratic)
