I spend a surprising amount of time running away from absolutely nothing. Every run begins with negotiations, a few grumbles and a strong desire to turn around. But somewhere along the way, the noise quiets down. The pace doesn't always get easier. The hills don't disappear. Yet somehow, I finish feeling stronger than when I started. Maybe that's the point.
