Well you can just take everything out and get all of the books that start with the same letter in one pile then sort that alphabetical

Take them all out, set it on a table so I can see all the backs, grab all that start with A. Put on the bookshelf. Repeat for other letters. Or if not possible to take out: Keep them in place. I can see the backs, find the A. Put in right slot. Find the B. But next to A. Repeat process for other letters
