I feel both sides were wrong, though not to the same degree. The uncle shouldn’t have touched someone else’s child without permission, even if his intention was harmless. Parents are entitled to have boundaries when it comes to their children. But at the same time, pushing an elderly man to the ground was an excessive and disproportionate response. You can tell someone firmly not to touch your child without resorting to violence. We can have sympathy for the uncle after what happened to him while still acknowledging that touching a stranger’s child without permission wasn’t appropriate either.

In Malaysia, for Chinese and Indian a gentle hand on a child’s head is often simply a gesture of affection and blessing—like saying, “Stay blessed, little one.” ❤️Cultural differences should be understood before assuming bad intentions. Whatever the misunderstanding, pushing an elderly man to the ground was an unnecessarily aggressive response.

Not sure why ppl say uncles fault. Hello? Since when patting a child head is wrong? In what universe? It may not be culturally appropriate for some yes, but it’s Singapore, multi cultural le, we can educate other people instead of using violence. Also the child not hurt at all?? Or if really Karen-like like them then call police and make a scene lo. No need to fight lol

It’s called keep your hands to yourself and don’t make physical contact with children you don’t know. Pretty sure that’s been a general thing know throughout history even to animals don’t let other animals just touch their babies why’s this such a hard concept to understand

I saw the video, and honestly, the way the father was acting so violently could cause the kid far more trauma compared to the uncle simply patting on her head. 🤷🏻♀️So I’m genuinely wondering, what exactly the parents tried to protect the kid from ah🤔
