@stretchandfolds: cinnamon rolls without making cinnamon rolls? this is my kind of shortcut. 🤎 this takes about 10 minutes, and the trick is using sourdough sandwich bread you already have instead of starting a whole batch of cinnamon roll dough. i sandwich a buttery brown sugar + cinnamon filling between two thin slices, dip the whole thing in french toast batter, then cook it until the outside is golden and the middle is warm and gooey. and yes, there’s cream cheese glaze involved. 😍 a couple things that make a difference: thin slices work best (around ½ inch), slightly stale sourdough actually holds up really well here, and don’t oversoak the sandwich. medium heat gives the filling time to warm without getting the outside too dark. if you don't have any sourdough sandwich bread on hand, brioche or another soft bread works too. fyi, you can find any of my recipes on my blog, stretchandfolds.com. be sure to follow me because i share fresh milled flour recipes and tips every day! #sourdoughrecipes #sourdoughbreakfast #sourdoughfrenchtoast #cinnamonrollfrenchtoast #sourdoughbread
