That’s such a small amount of fun money, if the average person would be having one takeaway a month, one social outing and maybe one fun item. I think you have to balance between living for now and living for the future. If I’m bringing home into my bank 100k a year I’d want more than just over 400 for anything that brings me joy.

£1650 that’s how much you pay for one bedroom flat to rent in London . That doesn’t include utilities or travel or food. Your calculations are a dream but not for someone who is single or with kids

5% of income to spend on meals out, tickets to shows, having a drink with friends, buying new clothes, getting a coffee etc is crazy low, unless you need the other 95% to cover your essentials. Saving/investing is obviously good, but is it worth not having any money to enjoy your youth on? I’d do more 55% needs, 25% wants, 20% savings which you can split between high interest cash savings & investments as appropriate for you, and if you’re paying off debt that comes from the 20% & pay down as fast as possible on high interest debt before saving/investing

You've forgotten to mention that high investment accounts generate income. So you'll need to do a self assessment each year and pay tax on the interest earned. You'll also need to pay an accountant to file for you which you'll need to pay for, or you could do it yourself, get it wrong and be fined.

What if you don’t have a monthly income- basically get paid weekly or bi-weekly and the contract of working is subjective depending on how much you work that month
