Watkins Glen State Park * 19 waterfalls along the Gorge Trail * Full Gorge Trail is about 1.5 miles * Around 800 steps along the trail * Plan 1.5–2 hours to explore * Expect stairs, narrow paths and wet/misty areas * Wear comfortable, non-slip shoes * Go really early if you want fewer crowds * If you don’t want to hike much,check the park shuttle, it can take you to the upper area, so you can avoid doing the full climb. 2. Seneca Lake * Only about 10 minutes from Watkins Glen * Great bonus stop after the waterfall * Walk along the waterfront and enjoy the views * Perfect for photos, videos and relaxing by the water * 30–60 minutes is enough for a quick visit * Enjoy a meal at Seneca Harbor Station with beautiful waterfront views. 3. Buttermilk Falls State Park * Located near Ithaca * Several trails and viewpoints to explore * You can make it a quick stop or spend longer hiking * Allow around 1–2 hours if you want to explore * There is a swimming area, but check current conditions 4. Taughannock Falls * One of the tallest waterfalls in the Eastern U.S. * Falls drop about 215 feet * You don’t need a long hike to see the main falls * About 40-50 minutes hike for closer view * There is shore of Cayuga Lake right inside Taughannock Falls State Park. You can fish, boat, or picnic in this area. 5.
