Maine's death was sadder than David's. David's life near his death was pretty good, he cracked Lucy I'm pretty sure, he got ripped, and was constantly told he was special. maine was suffering with hallucinations, and cyberpsycho episodes, then his girl died on front of him

seeing what little we got on his lore with the character cards. he believed in an ideology like Adam's. Maine beloved from his experience as a child being weak, and in and out of sickness he was tired. he wanted to be big, bigger than NC and he thought he was strong enough to hold himself together, its why David didnt die for chipping his sandy, he knew why the kid kept running. he was special once too.

dude i couldnt imagine being in his shoes, how he felt when he lost control of everything in his life, the fear he mustve felt, knowing it was his last moments after killing dorio, almost killing david, final moments are hard to think about and when it comes to near death your mind goes racing this show was so good and the theme, and pacing was beautiful, i truly think there could never be an anime on this level
