I disagree. I gave my children 1 time to come back and reset. You can't learn how to fail and keep moving if you always have somewhere to fall back on.

As someone who was put on the street the day she turned 18 and was homeless for a little over a year, my kid will ALWAYS be allowed to come home. Did I figure it out? Eventually but the damage that was done to the relationship with my parents exists still today. I never had a home to go back to so I live in a state of survival still in my 50s. I see my kid take chances and accomplish things I was too afraid to try for fear of failure and homelessness again. She will always be welcomed HOME. I would never do to her what my parents did to me. never

Absolutely not unless they're drug free, I've lost about 15k.. I have nothing more to give. My sons are not who you want as neighbors. Bottom line father's are important. My boys are 11 years apart, as much as I tried protecting the youngest the influence was already in place. I was fighting a losing battle alone.

When I got divorced my kids were 14 and 16. I kept the house so my kids would have stability. My oldest moved in with her dad, then with various boyfriends. After a fight and breakup with her last boyfriend, I told her come home. She did. When I moved a year later, I bought a house that had a room for her knowing she was going to move in with friends. I still hold a room for her to always be able to come home.

That’s not always the case look at these kids that are killing their parents and burying them in the backyard and if a child is heavy on drugs and doing crazy crimes, it’s not always safe to have the children come home so this is really silly
