Japan apparently: "um actually it's...."
US: "this is my life now and I shall live up to the honor of such a title my new foreign friend has gifted me"

Americans don’t care when people struggle with English. If you’re trying that’s all that matters

In America we’re used to people not speaking English the same way. As long as we can get the points across it doesn’t really matter

In Tennessee I heard a kid call it “John Jarrell” instead of ginger ale so I honor that child by always calling it John Jarrell instead. Same with farmer John cheese.

I have noticed a number of people in America will actually adapt the messed up way to say the word. US English is litterally bits and pieces stolen from everything and varies for every person (it gets SUPER confusing)

I love the creative ways people find to say things if they don't know or forget a word. I once called my space heater a hotbox because I was tired and struggling 😂

America really isn’t how online makes it. People do not give a flying fuck if you’re bad with English. It just makes compliments so much better and honestly I’d take that title with the highest honor 😭

in america, if you say something wrong that ends up sounding like a title, there's 7/10 chance the other person will accept that title forever even as a joke, or you will be that title forever

in japan words are a lot more specific and where they go in the sentence changes the meaning. English don't do that words is whenever wee wanna put them. if people get what we mean, good.

this is one of the things I love about English though, there is no "proper" way to use certain words or phrases. Something like Japanese has a word or phrase for literally everything.
