(haven't listened entirely yet, only read title caption) send it to my mom without sending it to my mom!??!! most recent example: yesterday in the midst of consoling my 11yo german shepherd after dad came up told me (in short, she had some type of collapse episode and we ultimately had to make the devastating choice best for her to put her to sleep yesterday. Also, started period today ya'll so I am NOT OK...) So when I had gone up to my room to put clothes on, and we're sittin on the floor with Moro waiting for dad to call a vet. THE UTMOST TERRIBLE TIMING AND UNIVERSALLY UNNECESSARY COMMENT, mom goes "you look so thin in those shorts" I had basketball shorts on and a crop tee, just threw comfy shit on. Like I initially fell asleep in those shorts from walking the other dog once I got home from a concert Sat. GOD it took everything in me not to slap her or scold her somehow, cause I KNOW her (both parents) when they make unnecessary remarks that make me disgusted not flattered will be all "it's not that deep, it's a compliment" type shit. And I'm also fed the fuck up with her policing and like censoring my emotions + how I express them it only makes the enraged side of it worse. I need to get out of this house so I can finally be my own adult for nobody else EVER but ME. I KNOW Michelle is jealous of me -candidly says so of the event outfits I put together- how I look after us having bariatric surgery few years ago, that I'm not the "mini me" sorta was when I was younger. HATED that let myself get obese being depressed startin college (never worked out thanks late diagnosed AuDHD burnout) cause I looked like middle aged her in my hs senior photos

my mother almost gave me an eating disorder when I was 10 years old I was underweight my entire life until around 10 years old when I finally reached a healthy weight, she destroyed my self image. telling me how fat I am and that no boy will ever love me when I barely had a normal weight for the first time in my life it still haunts me

Omg I was like 40 years old and my son got married. We were on vacation with my parents and my son’s wife’s mother stopped by to see us on the vacation. My mom leans over and says to me, aren’t you worried about your husband seeing her cute little figure in a bathing suit? I literally was stunned. 😂

I was 12 and my body was growing and stretching as one does when entering puberty and I had tiny stretch marks on my sides above my hips and she gave me a look and said "why do you have stretch marks?? only pregnant women get them!" I've never forgotten that and im certain thats when I REALLY started to feel insecure about my body
