6 LESSONS I’VE LEARNED AS AN ENTREPRENEUR 1. ACKNOWLEDGE GOD FIRST “Trust in the Lord with all your heart…” Proverbs 3:5 6 Business comes with countless decisions, opportunities, and directions. I’ve learned that I don’t just want God to bless my business. I want Him to direct it. Seek His will before making the move. 2. NOT ALL MONEY IS GOOD MONEY I’ve had opportunities to make money that would have compromised my integrity. I’ve learned that doing the right thing may take longer, but I’d rather move slowly with integrity than move quickly in the wrong direction. 3. DON’T TRY TO BE SOMEBODY ELSE God made you unique. There is no copy and paste version of you. You are one of one. When you constantly try to become someone else, you can miss what God uniquely placed inside of you. 4. DON’T COMPARE, COMPETE WITH YOURSELF Your journey is different from everyone else’s. Stop measuring your chapter against someone else’s chapter. Focus on becoming better than the person you were yesterday. 5. BUSINESS IS A JOURNEY, NOT A DESTINATION There will always be another goal, another level, and another lesson. Don’t become so focused on where you’re going that you forget to appreciate what you’re learning along the way. 6. STAY HUMBLE ENOUGH TO LEARN FROM ANYONE Wisdom can come from anybody, young or old, successful or struggling. Don’t let pride make you believe you have nothing left to learn. Sometimes the greatest lesson can come from the person you least expected. The goal isn’t just to build a successful business. It’s to build something with integrity, purpose, and God at the center. What’s one lesson entrepreneurship has taught you?
