I think this misrepresents what’s actually happening. The left has moved so far left that it has alienated the very voters it once represented. People aren’t being pulled away by the right, they’re responding to a political ideology that has pushed them away.

Straight women already did that when they turned on our trans sisters. The TERFs are on the pipeline to the far right. Why do you think so much of the last few years politics have been “define a woman” and “protect women and girls” and “women’s sports”, at the same time they were stealing our rights and pushing us out of the workforce, and removing programs intended to help the gender gap, etc… This is a continuation of the same.

Maybe the left needs to figure out how to have conversations (and call people out) without immediately jumping to call them a “ism”. And i say this as a black person. I have problematic family members if i feel they can be reasoned with I have neutral conversations and try to avoid going straight to calling them a bigot. I think the dialogue is more important than screaming and calling names.
