There are moments in life when love feels powerful enough to overcome anything. We give our time, our patience, and the deepest parts of ourselves because we believe that caring enough will somehow change the ending. But life doesn't always work that way. Some people still drift away, circumstances still pull people apart, and certain stories still end before we're ready to let them go. One of the hardest lessons I've learned is that loving someone with all your heart doesn't always mean you'll get to keep them.
