I take amlodipine 2.5 mg and wish I was confident to stop. I reduced the dose from 5 mg myself My doctor wanted me on 10 mg.

I have had problems with Amlodipine, didn’t realize what was causing my problem even the doctor did not associate my symptoms . I got to the stage I could hardly walk or stand up out of my seat . Climbing stairs one step at a time. I stopped and symptoms began to ease after about one week, thst was about six months ago. Still not back to normal but things are getting better.

Losartan is the best among the BP medications, according to my Dr. And i have been taking it for years without a problem. I don't know if because it has potassium in it.

The same thing Amlodipine does to me it swells my ankle so I just stick with losartan.
