for those confused, the tail of the dragon is a twisty road that is MILES long and often has sports cars and motorcycles speeding down the road. slower traffic gets over for a sec to let those people rip it and these guys are letting everyone know that a cop is waiting for the ones speeding. the tail of the dragon has an event every year where mainly bikers i believe basically get to go down the road in a group ride for fun

I have zero problem pulling over as soon as I’m able for people who would like to go faster , however if you come up on me and tailgate aggressively before I even come to an area to have a chance to pull off then I will not only stay on the road but I’ll go even slower 🤷♀️

It’s a law in Alaska if you’re holding up 5 or more cars you have to let them pass. Signs all over the place, tourists never move off the road. It’s so frustrating.

If you’re going the speed limit everyone else can wait to speed because safety comes first. If it was an emergency, it would be an emergency vehicle.

BUT a ton of them don’t even take time to wait on a pull off. They fly past. Yes, this is proper etiquette but they need to be respectful of other lives as well. I’ve been up there quite a bit. We had to drive it to get home and it was sooo scary. No patience or consideration for anyone who is actually using it as a means of travel.
