Girl this argument doesn’t make sense from an Islamic perspective because Islam does not teach that we remain dead bodies without brains or nervous systems and somehow experience Hell or that we experience hell as spirits. Allah explicitly says that He will resurrect us after death. In 2:28, Allah says: “Then He will cause you to die, then He will bring you back to life, and then to Him you will be returned.” And the Qur’an makes it very clear that this resurrection includes our physical bodies. Allah says in 75:3–4: “Does man think that We will not assemble his bones? Yes indeed! We are capable of restoring even his very fingertips.” Allah addresses this exact doubt again in 36:78–79: “Who will give life to bones while they are disintegrated?” Allah answers: “Say, ‘They will be revived by the One Who produced them the first time.’” The Qur’an even describes physical sensation in Hell. In 4:56 Allah says: “Whenever their skin is burnt completely, We will replace it so they may taste the punishment.” So saying, “You won’t have a brain or nervous system after you die, therefore you can’t feel Hell,” ignores the actual Islamic belief. Yes, our current bodies die and decompose. But Allah says He will bring us back to life and reconstruct our bodies. The One who created our bodies, brains, nervous systems, and ability to feel the first time is obviously capable of creating them again. Please do not claim to be an ex Muslim when u don’t seem to have even the slightest idea of islam. Seriously as a Muslim this point is laughable and any Muslim would recognize how deficient in knowledge you would have to be about islam to believe we are that stupid🤣

I really love ur content and been a fan since day 1 agree with almost everything u say but even as a non religious person we can’t get technical about hell really because the whole idea is it’s this messed up fantasy place where anything can truly happen. So the idea that we won’t have a nervous system= no pain experienced is a bit flawed, bc the whole premise is it’s an otherworldly dimension and anything goes and applying worldly scientific and biological facts/elements to it defeats it’s whole purpose. Also not to mention pain is experienced in dreams as well I myself have experienced intense excruciating pain in different forms in dreams, and doesn’t our “soul” technically travel during dreams? I get in REM ur body can experience physical things and that can be implemented into ur dreams but idk just some food for thought because I always like looking at all sides to an argument or debate.
