Les récifs coralliens figurent parmi les écosystèmes les plus riches de la planète. Bien qu'ils ne couvrent qu'une faible partie des océans, ils accueillent une incroyable diversité d'espèces animales et végétales. Poissons tropicaux, étoiles de mer, hippocampes, tortues marines, crustacés et mollusques y cohabitent dans un équilibre remarquable.
