@zemayared97: “Buhe, Buhe, Buhe!” Let all Christians say, Buhe! 🙏 🥰 Happy eve of Debre Tabor (Buhe) to you all! 👉 Buhe means a bright, shining, and radiant light. ➡️ “Say Buhe” means “become light” or “let there be light.” 🥀 It can also mean revelation, appearing, or becoming white/bright. 👉 “Buheye” means “it appeared” or “it became bright.” 🥀 This refers to the radiant light revealed on Mount Tabor, when our Lord Jesus Christ was transfigured—His face shone with divine light, and His clothes became dazzling white like snow. 👏 ➡️ In another sense, Buhe announces the changing of the season. 🥀 After the Feast of Debre Tabor, the heavy rainy weather begins to ease. The sky starts to clear and smile, the fog and mist disappear, and the sunshine begins to appear. ‼️ 🫴 It is also a word that announces the time when the earth, which has spent the rainy season soaked in moisture, dew, heavy rain, and floods, begins to settle and become firm again. ➡️ Our elders used to say: “Once Buhe has passed, the rainy season is no more; once the rooster crows, there is no more night.” They said this while understanding the deeper meaning behind it. ✝️ May we all have a blessed and joyful eve of Buhe!
