@newyorkdairy: Some families pass down recipes. The Hirt family passes down a way of life. Since 1902, six generations have called Mithva Farm home. What began with one family's commitment to the land has grown into a legacy built on hard work, caring for their animals, and raising the next generation to do the same. For Abigail, that legacy also means telling the farm's story online. Through social media, she's giving people an honest look at dairy farming and helping others understand what life on a family farm really looks like. As she puts it, one of the hardest misconceptions to hear is that farmers don't care for their animals. "I love my cows. I know that I care for them better than I care for myself." It's a reminder that behind every glass of milk is a family dedicated to caring for their animals, their land, and the generations still to come. #IAmNewYorkDairy #NewYorkDairy #FamilyFarm #DairyFarming #FarmLife
