hmmm I can understand both arguments but personally my position is not "abortion is morally acceptable." I don't believe there are objective moral facts, so I don't make that kind of statement either way. My position is institutional no one, not even the State, should be able to force a person to use their body to sustain the life of another without their consent, whether that other person has full moral status or not. That's why the argument "it's killing an innocent" or anything similar doesn't really move me its not that I reject it as false cuz I mean it clearly is a human being(not like it can shapeshift species 😭😭😭), it's that it doesn't operate within my framework.

I don’t really care for the morality of it all. My main concern is the father’s right to the pregnancy. Men get the short end of the stick when it comes to fatherhood. they have no say on the abortion and they also have no say on whether they pay for child support if they don’t want the kid

Have a “moral status” but at the line you draw at 8 weeks, can it survive without its mother body? The baby still develops from the mother’s cells, blood, nutrients, etc… so do women really have no say over the baby she allows to develop with her body props?

To your bodily autonomy argument, a fetus should be no different than a brother or sister who needs a kidney. No one would force you to give your kidney to them if you were the only match, just like no one should be forced to carry a pregnancy to term just because it’s passed a certain point. 8 weeks is also pretty early, so you essentially only have 4 weeks after your missed period to figure out what you need to do to take care of it. Not always the easiest in every state or for every persons individual circumstance. This is why I’m pro choice.

IMO, women should be able to terminate the pregnancy in extreme cases like rape or her body physically not being able carry a child due to health issues.

You described 99% of pro choice believers. Very very few of us actually support late term abortions, unless if it poses a fatal threat to the mother. Every pro choice person I know would like to terminate a pregnancy as early as possible.
