pretty sure the sky hook idea was dismissed because it would break everyones back, unless the soldier is Wolverine you can't just get jerked into the air by a plane

I’ve worked in Defense Tech since 2020 and Rasied Series A. You have to have someone who’s an expert in licensing and IP law and understand the technology transfer agreements from NASA otherwise you’ll be end up drowning in fines and IP lawsuits. Also keep in mind majority of the primes consolidated and shelved and patented most the work and concepts once the original engineers moved to the private sector and the revolving door became a thing

The air hook was abandoned because of the crazy g force on the hooked person. Would be great for payload pickups.

Imagine programming Ai in Base-3 ternary… we’d be fucked if we allow it to process 3 dimensionally. Because today majority of Ai models simulate 3 dimensions through binary, if code it in the exact parameters that aligns with physics or in this case space XYZ you’d be creating Ultron.

1. MHD/MPD is not some forgotten technology, its just that the power requirements for large craft is so immense that its impractical, requring nuclear reactors to work. 2. “yeah lets entrust a guys life to some rope connected to a plane” 3. literally just more complexity for no reason lol 4. i wont discuss this as i dont know enough abt aerodynamics, 5. this is yet another technology that requires immense amounts of energy, unsolved material problems, or breaking the laws of physics. There was no ‘golden age of engineering’, there was just a failure to care about safety.

the submarine idea doesn't work. they'll detect your magnetic signature

If darpa is doing it. It is definitely not an opportunity. They’re crazy. Clever. Their team. Is. Crazy! Clever! I’d work on that team. Honestly, who wouldn’t.
