Girl I’m a nail tech too and i genuinely DONT understand why people pay 100-150 for lashes and don’t get me wrong okay I get it but nail techs DRAW everything. Nothing is premade nothing is just printed on your nail. We have to do frenchies 10 times, one for each nail. We have to make them perfect and they all need to be even. I hate when people say I charge to much. I’m like girl go get a brush and I’ll show you why. We are so UNDERRATED but yet we’re the ones who do the absolute MOST.

I’m expensive but the most they’ll spend with me is $175 for a full soak, full Gelx set, and tier 4 balls out art. I take 3 a day. They’re happy, I’m happy.

Even if you don’t own a business, inflation is affecting everyone. Sometimes a price may genuinely be too high for your budget, and that’s completely understandable. But instead of saying “that’s too expensive,” maybe we can start asking questions that actually help support small businesses. “Do you have a rewards program?” “Do you offer bundle deals?” “Do returning customers get different pricing or perks?” Those questions are a lot more respectful and supportive than telling business owners to lower their prices. 😅 At the end of the day, we’re all trying to navigate the same rising costs.

People saying $75 too much literally never have their nails on when they speak on other businesses, too, let’s normalize saying you’re not in my budget so I’m going to go to a cheaper salon that’s in my budget. Instead of pretending like we aren’t valued at the price we should be valued at we are definitely valuable.

Did my own nails at home for about $70 on all the supplies and haven’t been back to a salon since! I used to go every 2 weeks AND I’ve done them about 6 times since without spending another dime 😳 It’s also helped me grow out my natural nails, so now I don’t even need acrylics! This is just for the simple girlies who like one plain gel color and want an alternative from spending money. Practice a few times and you’ll get it… it’s a skill that can be learned! Not perfection but I love how good they have gotten in just a few attempts :)
