@simply.siobhan: I’m just as shocked as you, but your girl has a secondary diagnosis! 🤯 don’t sleep on these nurse practitioners! I sat with it for a few days because out of all of the possibilities with this panel, this was the one I had thought about the least. Pro: a treatment plan! Con: there’s clearly something else still happening, so we’ll need to keep doing testing. Hit me with all of your rheumatoid arthritis tips or accounts to check out!
Most NPs are very thorough and incredibly knowledgeable.

I never put it together, but I was really tired. Like, felt I couldn’t lift my arms or walk up the stairs without dread. My drs across the years told me that I have a lot of kids so that’s why because my labs were fine. Then they started talking depression. I had to more to nurse practitioner when I moved practices due to location. She checked my ferritin which was a 10. Life changing. Never thought about the difference being a dr verses NP.

I don't have RA, but I do have a different autoimmune disease on an immunosuppressant. Stress is a MAJOR trigger for me. I would recommend finding ways to manage your stress/ mental health in a healthy way as part of your comprehensive treatment plan. After years of trying different things, I've finally found what works for me. I wish I would have started sooner.

While it sounds like there are some "loose ends" but you've got some hopeful info and have a path ahead. God bless you.

I’m glad you got another answer but I know it leads to more tests and questions. I hope that your NP is ordering the tests that find you more answers ❣️❣️

I had a lot of joint pain I eliminated my intake of gluten, reduced dairy, eliminated grains, I also had low iron so replaced iron, take vitamin d with K2, vitamin d helps, I also do omegas. I take mag at night. I would read the rain barrel effect, also naturopathic medicine to run some panels and get on an antiinflamatory diet and collagen or anything that supports low inflammation and joint health. I was diagnosed a year and half ago. I was non functional and thought I be disabled. I also take HRT mine was diagnosed during perimenopause. I hope all that helps I’m fairly new to this also but so far the changes by changing foods and what I consume on the regular to decrease inflammation, reduces stress and breath a lot has made such a difference.

I have UCTD and have chronic joint pain. Compression gloves and a heated blanket have helped in addtion to meds and pain meds. I cheat and look at the weather. If it's gonna rain, I take pain meds a few hours before.
