Chris Hansens affair ruined a woman's career while he barely had any consequences, and he essentially ruined the Onision case. I think what he did was important but people need to be aware of the controversies.

They did a huge bust in my area once. 30? 60 people? All the cases were tossed because of how things were handled. Faces we're still posted, some people like teachers lost their jobs, but most just walked away.

the amount of cases that had to be thrown out because the evidence was mishandled is so disheartening. they never showed that part! and yes the actors!!! it was nothing but an ego and money driven project for Hansen and the networks. i hope this movie shows just how much of a vulture Chris Hansen always has been

Mmmmm. Idk. With the current state of events, I mean I believe the actors went through a lot, but u think this could also be used to sway public opinion on Chris. At the end of the day, he was actually bringing predators to light. They’re gonna try to make him the bad guy, maybe even try to make the audience sympathetic to the pedos. Idk, with this administration and media owners… I don’t trust too much.

i watched one clip and the actor was described as “an adult 19 year old college theater student”, they got people who were basically children who had dreams of being on tv, and offered to make their dreams come true in the most disgusting way possible.

Artistically and as a writer- we know who the villains are *duh- the predators* BUT if they capitalize on the negative aspects of somebody who exploits humans at any cost for ratings and make it more like Nightcrawler and leave it ambiguous enough that the audience can debate it the ethics of To Catch a Predator afterward - it will be so much more interesting. Otherwise it’s just gonna be like a documentary and thats kinda boring we already have that.

Yes!! And then he got on the EDP documentary recently and absolutely shit on the people who investigated him and fumbled. Even went as far as to say if he was investigating then EDP would be in prison already. But we ALL know how Chris used to play.
