At first Georgia wanted him for his money, but over time she actually fell in love with him. Which is why she didn’t tell him abt her past until Ginny told her to tell him. And he WAS so in love with her. But he cared for abt his job than his own wife. And he doesn’t know of having to do what it takes to still make it. He was all Georgia wanted at the beginning and then he became this.. selfish man.

I don’t agree with Paul saying Georgia never loved him. She did love Paul. The problem was never that she felt nothing for him it was that Georgia has an incredibly hard time trusting people and allowing herself to depend on someone. Paul was one of the few people, outside of her children and Zion, who genuinely became important to her. That’s why their confrontation after Georgia was cleared was so painful. Georgia was finally trying to face Paul, but Paul was looking at the woman he loved as the person who had destroyed his life and career. From Paul’s perspective, his anger was completely understandable. Georgia had lied to him, hidden enormous parts of her life, and made choices that had consequences for him. But I don’t think that means her love for him was fake. Someone can genuinely love you and still be incapable of trusting you enough to build a healthy relationship. Georgia’s biggest problem was that she kept protecting herself through secrecy and control, even when those same defenses were hurting the people she loved. That’s what makes the Georgia and Paul relationship so tragic to me: the love was real, but Georgia’s inability to trust made it almost impossible for that love to survive
