Look for it on our heaths, moors and bogs, where its delicate, loosely arranged pink flowers attract all kinds of nectar-loving insects and are home to a wide array of birdlife, like skylarks, meadow pipit, golden plover, and curlew, as well as red and black grouse. Upland heathlands can be found on the tops of the fells in the Yorkshire Dales National Park often in a transition between acid grassland on the slopes and blanket bog on the highest, flattest areas where there is deeper peat. #Yorkshiredales
