@dr.viossy: This is what alternate picking sounds like. I recorded this straight through my iPhone microphone. No polished guitar tone, no hiding behind anything. I actually want you to hear the pick attack. When I cross strings, I’m not trying to make the picking completely disappear. I use a controlled amount of percussive attack to keep the playing tight, articulate and aggressive. Especially with string skipping, that control matters. My go-to pick for alternate picking: TechPicks TP8 🔥🔥🔥
