Another pragmatist I would suggest is FCS Schiller. Often forgotten today as part of the original Classical Pragmatists, but he and William James were extremely close. He focused more on the problems of logic, human-centric nature of truth, and religion as well. He wanted James to change “pragmatism” to being named Humanism (before the ethical system came about). James later regretted not doing so.
