In France there’s a law called “The right to disconnect”. It clearly states it’s illegal for employers to contact employees outside of work hours and during vacation days.

I had a supervisor like this. He thought that since his entire life revolved around the needs of the company that meant everybody else's had to as well. He loved throwing around phrases like "We're all family here" & "You need to prioritize the needs of the business".

Sitting here as a Dutch woman who had 2,5 weeks of vacation, and immediately followed that up with surgery, meaning I haven't worked since July 10th now... 🙈😅 And all paid leave too. Glad Americans are seeing how not-free they actually are, but I really feel for them. Must suck to have to survive there.
