Childbirth educator here. Having a cesarean typically requires a 48 hour hospital stay as its major surgery. Not letting her hold her baby to do skin to skin definitely violates the mother’s right unless the baby was in distress. Seems to be more to the story here

Why on earth would you want to leave right after a c section? Especially if the baby is under cooked. At the very least, demand to be at the baby’s side until the baby is safe to leave.

No mother and baby would or should be separated. The nurse is not the hospital administer or the owner of the hospital NOR the law. Patients have the right above any nurse or doctor. I would sue the hospital and the nurse

You can’t leave right away. You have to give staff time to monitor the baby’s health. Also, staff has to process paperwork and record the birth into their system.
