Well, Elon paid the largest tax bill ever. He paid more in taxes than I would in 1000x life times. The governments solution is always “We need more of your money” the 7 Trillion they’re spending isn’t enough.

how many billionaires are taking a salary. this is the sort of rhetoric that gets a good clip but doesn't mean anything. we dont tax based on wealth but on salary and billionaires dont need to take a salary and even if they did it isnt that big. that being said the top 10 percent of earners pay for 50 percent of the total tax revenue each year.

The whole “tax the wealthy” completely falls apart when you realize giving the government more money……… never works. The government sucks. Both sides; left and right……. Doesn’t matter. The government never helps. Never does anything good. Giving them more money is just stupid.

Lower percentage yes but pay millions still. They also create jobs. They have to match payroll taxes, they create more taxes being paid also by the employees, they also pay sales tax on every thing they create and purchase.

Yeah billionaires don’t actually make their money in cash. Also they are allowed to write off every dime spent the same as a startup or any company in between. Now, I will agree the tax code has many loop holes that mostly only the wealthy know about and use. However anyone can use most of those codes and the rest are for entrepreneurs. By the way, you can research any point in history and at no point did anyone pay 90 percent in taxes. Not even close. Yes they had the code there for a brief time but nobody had to pay 90 percent. The claim is extraordinarily misleading.

This seems misleading though, I know very few teachers who make money outside of being a teacher, whereas billionaires wealth is usually quasi-fixed within the market. I'd like yo see people's thoughts about this.
