Kwadwo Damoah,* Member of Parliament for Jaman South and the only NPP Member of Parliament in the Bono Region, has recounted his current situation while cautioning delegates and the newly elected Regional and Constituency Executives to remain mindful of the ordinary party members who form the foundation of the New Patriotic Party. He urged the new executives to prioritise the welfare, concerns and aspirations of the grassroots and to ensure that party members feel valued, respected and included in the party’s decision-making processes. According to the Hon. MP, the strength of the NPP lies not only in its elected leaders but also in the thousands of dedicated grassroots members and supporters who continue to sacrifice their time and resources for the party. He therefore called on the newly elected executives to work with humility, unity and commitment, and to reconnect with the grassroots as the party prepares to rebuild and position itself strongly for the future.
