I’m a vet assistant and it is normal procedure for us to take out any puppy teeth or kitten teeth at either a spay or a neuter due to them already being under anesthesia and it hurts less it prevents infection and if the teeth don’t come out like normal then they have to come back and go under again then it cost more but it depends on the vet veterinarian office if they’re gonna do a charge or not, but it is a normal procedure. We usually ask though.

It’s teeth. And $20 is actually a steal of a price. If I’m taking my dog to the vet for a medical procedure I trust them to do what’s necessary. Should they contact the owner yes but most clinics have you sign a form that goes over everything including dental

Is it the right thing to do, pulling the teeth? Yes. Is it an ethical problem they didn’t consult you? Yes 100%. Doing it on a large scale like that just makes it worse. It’s not a “is it right to do the action” medically speaking it’s a consent and ethical issue.

hate to break it to you when you singh a surgical consent form to complete any procedure you also singh a emergency consent form and a apart of that is if necker extracting teach if necker of course its unnecessary then I totally agree also 20$ is imposibly cheap especially if done according to standards ad the coast of expenses and labour is more

My Nana brought her dog to get groomed the woman said she add cream for “allergies “ and added money we went to the vet and he was fine and had no allergies never went back to her
