I’ve said for decades now that what we’re experiencing now is from government leadership looking at how effective policies of oppression were when aimed at people of color and were then applied to the population on the whole, regardless of race. It was easier, or at least more beneficial for the 1% to “pepper spray” policies on the population on grounds of financial status than it would be to solve the issues of racism.
