Police officers and EMS personnel responded to reports of an “unresponsive female,” later identified as Panettiere, at a residence in Greenville, South Carolina, at around 1:50 p.m. local time on Sunday, Aug. 16, the Greenville Police Department previously confirmed to PEOPLE. First responders attempted to resuscitate Panettiere using “advanced cardiac life support.” In addition to CPR, this involved special medicines, breathing tubes and heart rhythm tracking. However, chest compressions administered by paramedics were also unable to revive her. Actress Hayden Panettiere has died at the age of 36, her representative confirmed to ABC News. Panettiere became a household name as Claire Bennet in Heroes and later starred as Juliette Barnes in Nashville. Fans also remember her from Scream 4, Scream VI, Remember the Titans, Ice Princess, Bring It On: All or Nothing, Racing Stripes, Raising Helen, I Love You, Beth Cooper, Tiger Cruise, Custody, A Bug’s Life, Dinosaur, Alpha and Omega, Until Dawn and many other projects.
