@feipefreig: This saves HOURS. Here's why it matters: Drywall crews move fast. Marks on the side of a stud get covered, missed, or straight up ignored. A number in the middle of the box is hard to miss and easy to read. And if something does get buried, you're not guessing. Walk back in, pull your tape, find the box. Like this: ✅ "Up 16"" ✅ "Up 46"" Right on the box, clear as day. Little habits like this keep your installs clean and save everybody the patchwork later. Mark it once. Find it forever.

I’m a commercial superintendent and I do this on all my sites so when the boarders miss something AND THEY WILL MISS SOMETHING!!! I don’t mark studs just electrical, hvac openings, data and plumbing clean outs. The marks on the floor don’t lie.

Not sure of value of marking studs - but I do mark outlets, switches and cans/ pendants. It's amazing how quickly you forget locations once it goes white.

how do you miss an outlet? Would the big bump in the drywall not be a hint that theres something back there?
