In this video I started with affect labeling-asking you to first identify the emotion you're feeling.. this can be hard for people.
That's why we worked on, what's called emotional granularity by naming it more precisely.
From there, we used slow breathing and extended exhalation to support parasympathetic regulation, followed by a familiar
"shhh" sound with the eyes closed as a cue of safety (like when you were a baby.)
It's not just a TikTok reel. It's psychology./ safety/ connection.
